Built for Zero Canada is an ambitious national change effort helping a core group of leading communities end chronic homelessness and veteran homelessness - a first step on the path to eliminating all homelessness in Canada.
Ending homelessness is possible and we will do whatever it takes to achieve our goal. BFZ-C and the communities we support aim to kickstart and build a foundation for national reductions in chronic homelessness.
Building on the momentum of our 20,000 Homes Campaign, our goal is to help a core group of leading communities end chronic homelessness and veteran homelessness – a first step on the path to eliminating all homelessness in Canada.
Our structured, supportive and data-driven approach focuses on optimizing local homeless systems, accelerating the adoption of proven practices and driving continuous improvement.
Is it really possible to end homelessness? We know it’s possible, it’s already been done! In the US, three communities have measurably and sustainably ended chronic homelessness, and more are on the path to get there.
This project is funded in part by Veteran Affairs Canada and Employment Social Development Canada.
