A Campaign to End Homelessness in Canada Wants to House 20,000 People by 2020

One walk around CanadaÔÇÖs urban centres is enough to understand that homelessness is a national emergency.

On any given night, up to 30,000 people in our country are homeless.

Shelters, for all their value, are essentially a band-aid solution to the problem, and ÔÇÿraising awarenessÔÇÖ does little to actually get people off the street. So┬áthe Canadian Alliance To End Homelessness (CAEH)┬áis stepping up in a major way, pledging to house 20,000 of CanadaÔÇÖs most vulnerable homeless citizens ÔÇô those with complex needs and at risk of death from homelessness ÔÇô by the year 2020.
