Finding homes for 20,000 Canadians by 2020

Calgary is among 21 cities in six provinces pledging to find homes for 20 thousand homeless Canadians by 2020.

The Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness is looking for volunteers to go out in the community and meet the homeless, prioritize their needs and find them permanent housing.

Alliance CEO Tim Richter says the framework for this idea is modeled on an American program, but it also borrowed heavily from the work taking place in Calgary.
